WHAT IS SÓLIDA?
Christ-centered
teaching.
In the language
of the heart.
SÓLIDA is our church’s initiative to create and translate Bible studies, sermons, and discipleship resources that help people understand the gospel and mature in faith.

Our first focus is the Tz’utujil spoken in Santiago Atitlán—the heart language of the families in our pilot community.
We are responding to a need we see among the families we are working with: very limited access to Christ-centered studies, sermons, and discipleship resources in their own language. We want them to understand deeply, ask questions, and grow in the knowledge of God.
For those who do not read, audio opens another door. Teaching can be heard again, shared at home, and discussed with others in the language closest to the heart.
We are working with local speakers on the resources: reviewing important biblical terms, refining meaning and expression, and preparing recordings for comprehension checks and revision. A Christian community in Santiago Atitlán is ready to help test the first materials.
Bringing the teaching home
Creating the recordings is one part of the work. The next question is how families can listen to them easily, especially when reading is a barrier.
That is why we are developing ROCCA: a simple physical audio player for these teaching resources. It is the listening tool within SÓLIDA, designed to put recorded studies and sermons within reach at home. The player is still being developed for the pilot.

How SÓLIDA relates to the church
SÓLIDA is an expression of the local church’s ministry. We envision it becoming a legally distinct NGO under the church’s spiritual oversight; the legal structure is still being developed. This work creates and translates teaching resources, not a new Bible translation.
